As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a busy logistics and distribution location, you will conduct routine patrols, remain highly visible to help discourage security-related issues, and support employees, drivers, and visitors with clear communication and customer service. This is a driving post, so you will use a vehicle to patrol designated areas and respond to needs as they arise. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to personnel and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including contacting appropriate personnel and/or emergency services as directed by post orders.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of the distribution facility, including warehouse aisles, loading docks, trailer yards, parking areas, exterior doors, and perimeter fencing to help to deter unwanted activity.
  • Monitor access points for employees, visitors, and vendors, verifying identification and/or authorization, issuing temporary passes when assigned, and directing visitors to appropriate locations.
  • Control vehicle and pedestrian traffic in and around shipping and receiving areas, including monitoring gate activity, checking deliveries and pickups against approved documentation, and reporting irregularities.
  • Perform trailer and seal checks as assigned, noting seal numbers and visible conditions and reporting discrepancies per site procedures.
  • Monitor alarms, cameras, and other security-related systems when assigned, and communicate observations to appropriate personnel.
  • Document and report all incidents, hazards, and maintenance concerns such as door issues, lighting outages, or damaged fencing, and follow escalation procedures.
  • Support loss prevention efforts by observing for suspicious behavior, unsecured product areas, or propped doors and reporting concerns to management.
  • Complete routine administrative tasks such as activity logs, incident reports, and shift handoff notes, maintaining clear and professional communication.
  • Participate in drills and follow emergency procedures related to fire, medical situations, severe weather, and/or evacuation, as directed by site policies.
  • Maintain a professional presence and appearance while interacting with employees, drivers, contractors, and visitors in a busy logistics location where working environments and conditions may vary by site.

Minimum Requirements:

  • A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
