Job Description




As a Security Officer - Factory in Oshkosh, WI, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial, and more. As an unarmed Patrol Officer at a busy manufacturing and industrial location, you will conduct routine foot and/or vehicle patrols, stay highly visible, and help identify security-related concerns before they grow. You will support access control, report activity clearly, and deliver customer service that builds trust with employees, contractors, and visitors. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and contractors by following security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the manufacturing location, including production areas, warehouses, offices, and the exterior perimeter; working environments and conditions may vary by location.
  • Monitor access points and help to deter unauthorized entry by verifying identification, directing visitors to sign in and/or obtain credentials, and communicating entry requirements.
  • Perform vehicle and delivery checks as assigned, including observing incoming and outgoing traffic, checking driver information when required, and directing trucks to designated staging areas.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including disturbances, medical events, fire-related alarms, and facility emergencies, and request additional resources when needed.
  • Observe and report unusual activity, hazards, and policy violations, and escalate concerns to site leadership and/or Allied Universal supervision.
  • Operate security-related systems and equipment as assigned, such as radios, CCTV, access control, and alarm panels, and document relevant observations.
  • Complete detailed written reports and log entries regarding patrols, inspections, incidents, and corrective actions taken or requested.
  • Assist with key and badge control processes as assigned, including issuing and collecting items, tracking status, and reporting discrepancies.
  • Participate in shift briefings and follow post orders, maintaining a professional presence while supporting business operations and site rules.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
