As a Security Officer - Distribution Site - Full Time in Schertz, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. As an Allied Universal Security Officer at a fast-paced logistics and distribution location, you will support access control by checking credentials, managing visitor and vehicle entry, monitoring assigned areas, and completing routine patrols. You will stay visible to help reduce security-related incidents, respond to reports, and provide strong customer service and communication. Why Join Us: What You'll Do: - Provide customer service to personnel, drivers, and visitors by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
- Staff access control points at a distribution and shipping location, verifying identification, issuing temporary credentials, and maintaining visitor and contractor logs.
- Control vehicle access at gates and/or guard shacks, checking inbound and outbound trucks, confirming shipping paperwork as directed, and coordinating entry and exit with on-site operations.
- Monitor and document employee and visitor movement through designated entry points, helping to deter unauthorized access and/or tailgating.
- Use radios, phones, and/or computer systems to communicate status updates, dispatch assistance, and document routine activity and incidents.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including contacting on-site leadership and/or emergency services when directed by post orders.
- Perform routine inspections of access control areas for conditions that may impact operations, reporting maintenance issues and policy concerns through the appropriate channels.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of the facility interior, dock areas, parking lots, and perimeter as directed by site procedures. Working environments and conditions may vary by location.
- Observe, report, and document suspicious activity, policy violations, and/or hazards according to Allied Universal reporting requirements.
- Support emergency and evacuation procedures by assisting with access point control, accountability processes, and scene documentation as assigned.
Minimum Requirements: - - A guard card and/or applicable security-related license is preferred.
- - Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- - Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- - As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
