Job Description




As a Security Officer - Factory Patrol Driver in Brookwood, AL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial, and more. Join Allied Universal at a busy manufacturing and industrial location as an unarmed patrol officer in a driving post. You will conduct routine vehicle patrols and inspections across the property, stay highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents, and communicate clearly with site teams and visitors. Bring strong customer service, integrity, and teamwork, plus a valid driver's license meeting Allied Universal driver policy requirements.

What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to all personnel and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following post orders and escalation protocols.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of production areas, warehouses, yards, parking areas, and perimeter lines to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or policy violations.
  • Control access at gates and/or designated entry points by verifying identification, issuing visitor credentials, and directing deliveries to approved locations.
  • Monitor alarms, cameras, and other site systems as assigned, and report unusual conditions per site procedures.
  • Document patrols, incidents, and daily activity in written logs and/or electronic reports with clear, timely, and factual details.
  • Assist with traffic control for shift changes, deliveries, and special operations as directed by site leadership and/or Allied Universal.
  • Support emergency and non-emergency calls for service by contacting site contacts and/or public responders according to site procedures.
  • Perform customer service rounds, provide general information, and route questions to the appropriate site contact.
  • Maintain a professional appearance, follow site rules, and communicate clearly with site personnel, visitors, and Allied Universal leadership.

Minimum Requirements:

  • - A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • - At this site there are limited on-site facilities such as portable toilets and rustic guard shacks.
  • - Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • - Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • - As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • - Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • - As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • - Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • - A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
