Job Description




As a Security Officer - Flex Refinery Rovers in Olive Branch, MS, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical, and more. As an unarmed patrol officer with Allied Universal at a chemical and petrochemical location, you will conduct routine foot patrols, maintain a visible presence that can help reduce incidents, and monitor assigned areas for unusual activity. You will support access control, assist employees and visitors with clear communication, and document security-related observations and reports. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and/or vendors by following Allied Universal procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating to site leadership and/or public emergency services as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of buildings, process-adjacent areas, parking lots, and perimeter fencing to help to deter unauthorized activity. Working environments and conditions may vary by location.
  • Control access at vehicle and/or pedestrian entry points by verifying identification, issuing visitor credentials, and directing arrivals to appropriate destinations per site procedures.
  • Monitor alarms, CCTV, and/or access control systems, investigate alerts, and document findings according to post orders.
  • Perform routine checks of gates, doors, locks, and critical areas, and report maintenance and/or security-related concerns to the appropriate contact.
  • Support hazardous-material and industrial location requirements by following posted warnings, staying within authorized areas, and using required protective equipment when directed by site policy.
  • Coordinate contractor and delivery activity by verifying appointments, checking in drivers, and maintaining logs in accordance with site rules.
  • Provide escorts for visitors, contractors, and/or employees when required, maintaining professional communication and situational awareness.
  • Complete accurate daily activity reports, incident reports, and shift turnover briefings, including times, locations, and actions taken.

Minimum Requirements:

  • - Have at least 6+ months of security-related experience.
  • - Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • - Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • - As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • - Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • - As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • - Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • - A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
