As a Security Officer - Telecom Patrol Driver in Olive Branch, MS, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. Join Allied Universal at a dynamic tech and telecom location as an unarmed patrol officer in a driving post. You will conduct routine mobile patrols, stay highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents, support access control needs, and deliver clear, professional communication and customer service. Why Join Us: What You'll Do: - Provide customer service to staff, visitors, and vendors at a technology and telecommunications location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
- Monitor access points and interior areas, verify authorization for entry, and help to maintain orderly movement of people and deliveries in accordance with post orders.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of offices, common areas, loading and parking areas, and the exterior perimeter, noting unusual conditions and reporting concerns per procedure.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including medical incidents, alarms, disturbances, and suspicious activity, and request additional assistance when needed.
- Observe and report suspicious behavior, unauthorized access attempts, and potential hazards, and document findings using written reports and/or electronic reporting systems.
- Assist with visitor management processes such as sign-in, badge issuance per site policy, and directing guests to appropriate contacts.
- Support building management and client teams during routine operations such as after-hours checks, monitoring of secured areas, and responding to service requests related to access control.
- Use radio and/or phone communications to coordinate with site contacts, Allied Universal supervision, and emergency responders while following confidentiality expectations for a tech-focused workplace.
- Complete shift logs, incident reports, and patrol documentation in a timely manner, maintaining accurate descriptions of events and actions taken.
- Follow all site-specific procedures for key control, restricted areas, and handling of sensitive equipment areas, escalating concerns through the appropriate chain of command.
Minimum Requirements: - A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- Access control and badge experience is preferred.
- A guard card and/or license is preferred.
- Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
