Why Join Us: What You'll Do: - Provide customer service to clients, tenants, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating to on-site management and/or public emergency services as required.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of interior and exterior areas, including building corridors, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter points to help to deter unwanted activity.
- Monitor access points and verify authorization for entry to controlled areas, following established visitor, contractor, and delivery protocols.
- Perform security-related rounds in technology-focused environments such as offices, equipment rooms, and loading areas, reporting irregular conditions such as unsecured doors, propped entrances, and/or equipment alarms to the appropriate contacts.
- Complete routine documentation such as patrol logs, incident reports, and shift activity reports with clear and accurate details.
- Operate security-related systems and devices as assigned, such as radios, access control panels, and CCTV, and report observed issues for service and/or follow-up.
- Coordinate with site personnel and other Allied Universal team members during shift turnovers to communicate site conditions, ongoing issues, and pending tasks.
- Support site-specific procedures for fire, medical, weather, and/or facility events, including directing visitors to designated areas and maintaining order until additional assistance arrives.
- Maintain a professional presence while enforcing site rules regarding prohibited items, restricted areas, and conduct, using de-escalation techniques when needed.
Minimum Requirements: - - Be comfortable using a computer or tablet, preferred.
- - Have customer service experience, preferred.
- - Have CPR and/or First Aid certification, preferred.
- - Have access control and/or badge experience, preferred.
- - Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- - Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
