FULL SUMMARY

The Demand Planner I is responsible for assisting with the execution of WSECO's equipment ordering and new inventory management strategies (machines and attachments) for the CAT Rentals division. This position works in support of the Demand Planner - Level 2 to ensure that WSECOs machine, attachment and Allied inventory needs are met. This position is responsible for constant communication and execution of defined processes.

Order and Demand Plan Support



  • Supports the end-to-end ordering and demand planning process across all WSECO divisions-including Cat Rental Store (CRS), Heavy Rents, and sales assets-with a primary focus on work tools and Allied equipment.
  • Collaborates closely with the Demand Planner - Level 2 to determine daily ordering requirements and efficiently executes purchase orders to meet organizational needs.
  • Reviews and verifies invoice details for pricing and description accuracy; ensures inventory records in AX are updated to reflect invoiced items and incorporates technical data from Caterpillar invoices.
  • Performs daily reconciliations, attaching Caterpillar invoices to corresponding machine ID numbers in AX for accurate tracking.


Equipment Assets and Record Management



  • Generates and manages equipment movement records, reservations, and EMRs as required to support operational efficiency.
  • Assists the Sales Department in locating machines through the dealer network and facilitates both outgoing and incoming dealer transfers of equipment assets.
  • Assists with dealer transfers for out-going as well as in-coming equipment assets.


SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, AND ABILITIES:



  • Knowledge of Microsoft office, internet, Dealer Velocity tool, Microsoft Dynamics AX, and Infocast.
  • Proven skills in written and verbal communications, planning, organizing, leadership and interpersonal relationship building.
  • Ability to set and manage priorities.
  • Ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships with others.
  • Consistent attendance.
  • Must be able to communicate (speak, read, comprehend, write in English).


EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:



  • Proof of high school diploma or General Education Degree (GED).
  • Two-year college degree or equivalent work experience preferred.
  • One year of equivalent experience required.
  • Must be able to communicate (speak, read, comprehend, write in English).


PHYSICAL CHARACTERISTICS:



  • Must be able to sit for long periods of time along with walking, standing, climbing stairs, reaching pushing, pulling, leaning and twisting.
  • Must be able to meet all safety requirements for applicable safety policies.
