Information Security Analyst - Clearance Required

Job Description:

Seeking an Information Security Analyst to support the Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division (NAWCAD). This individual will focus on cybersecurity engineering, risk management and network defense. You will plan, implement, upgrade, or monitor security measures for the protection of computer networks and information at locations like NAS Patuxent River, MD.
Responsibilities include:

• Plan, implement, upgrade, or monitor security measures for the protection of computer networks and information. Assess system vulnerabilities for security risks and propose and implement risk mitigation strategies.
• Provide subject matter expertise in cybersecurity, monitor networks to remediate unauthorized activity, conduct vulnerability assessments, and implement Security Technical Implementation Guides.
• Ensure appropriate security controls are in place that will safeguard digital files and vital electronic infrastructure.
• Respond to security breaches and viruses.
• Serve as team leader for support that involves the analysis of the IA posture of the Department of War network systems in support of system certification and accreditation.
• This support includes analysis of network/systems; development of secure networks/systems; and integration, testing, and maintenance of the networks/systems.

Here's what you need:

• 5 years of experience in all phases of IA accreditation process for TOP SECRET networks
• 5 years of experience in maintaining systems accreditation documentation
• Active CISSP or CompTIA Advanced Security Practitioner (CASP)

Bonus Points If You Have:

• Experience supporting Mission Systems Network Engineering initiatives
• Experience supporting NAVAIR/NAWCAD network engineering projects

Security Clearance:

• Active DoD TOP SECRET

Education:

• B.S. in technical discipline

Work Schedule:

• Standard Monday-Friday

Compensation and Benefits:
The projected compensation range for this position is $132,000 -145,000. There are numerous factors that can impact a final salary/hourly rate including, but not limited to, relevant work experience, skills and competencies that align to the role, work location, education/certifications, and a contract's Labor Categories.
