The Manager IT Project Management is a strategic leader responsible for the development, execution, and oversight of the organization?s cybersecurity programs. This role involves managing a portfolio of cybersecurity initiatives and leading a team of cybersecurity project managers across various domains, including risk management, compliance, incident response, governance, threat detection, and infrastructure security. The Program Manager ensures that cybersecurity strategies and initiatives are closely aligned with organizational goals and regulatory requirements, delivering measurable outcomes that protect the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of information assets. Operating at both the strategic and tactical levels, this role bridges the gap between executive leadership and technical teams, translating complex cybersecurity requirements into actionable programs.
Essential Job Function
- Interface directly with the parent company and internal executive leadership, including the CISO, CIO, COO, and CEO, to deliver high-level briefings and strategic updates on cybersecurity program status, risks, priorities, and enterprise alignment.
- Define, build, and maintain the organization?s cybersecurity program roadmap, ensuring alignment with enterprise priorities, strategic objectives, and regulatory requirements.
- Provide leadership and oversight to a team of cybersecurity project managers, ensuring consistent execution, accountability, and measurable success across all cybersecurity initiatives.
- Lead strategic planning activities, including risk prioritization, budgeting, resource forecasting, investment planning, and long-term technology roadmap development to support enterprise cybersecurity goals.
- Continuously evolve and adapt the organization?s cybersecurity posture in response to emerging threats, evolving technologies, regulatory changes, and business transformation initiatives.
- Act as a key liaison between cybersecurity, IT services (ITS), executive leadership, and other internal and external stakeholders to drive visibility, alignment, and organizational support for cybersecurity strategies.
- Prepare and present comprehensive program status reports, risk dashboards, budget constraints, and strategic updates to senior leadership, board members, and regulatory bodies.
- Translate complex security concepts into clear, actionable insights for both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Collaborate with procurement and legal teams to manage contracts and relationships with cybersecurity vendors, service providers, and third-party partners, ensuring alignment with security requirements, SLAs, and organizational goals.
Education
- Required: Bachelor Degree and/or equivalent experience
Experience
- Required: 7 years in project management, preferably related to IT. The ideal candidate possesses extensive program and project management expertise, and deep knowledge of cybersecurity frameworks, controls, and technologies.
Licensure/Certification/Listing
- Required: Project Management Professional (PMP) certification
