Job Title: Integration Support Engineer

Location(s): Culver City, CA

Must-Have Skills

  • 6-8 years of hands-on experience with IBM DataStage.
  • Strong understanding of Unix/Linux servers.
  • Proficiency in Shell scripting, Cron jobs, and job scheduling.
  • Solid experience with relational databases.
  • Working experience in Python programming.
  • Expertise in creating, debugging, and maintaining shell scripts
Good-to-Have Skills
  • Good understanding of the Snowflake platform.
  • Experience with Control-M workload automation.
  • Exposure to Gentran or similar B2B integration tools
Key Responsibilities
IBM DataStage & ETL Operations
  • Monitor, analyze, and resolve DataStage job failures
  • Unlock and manage stalled or failed DataStage jobs and sessions.
  • Perform code migrations across environments.
  • Coordinate with IBM Support for tool-related issues.
  • Analyze job failures at both application and Unix server levels
Unix & Scripting
  • Develop, debug, and maintain shell scripts.
  • Analyze and troubleshoot Unix job failures.
  • Review and enhance Shell and Python code for operational efficiency.
Control-M Workload Automation
  • Take corrective actions for batch failures (kill, force-complete, hold, rerun, etc.).
  • Configure and manage SAP and Unix jobs.
  • Perform calendar updates and workload policy creation.
  • Install and upgrade Control-M agents.
  • Manage new agent installations.
Monitoring & Incident Management
  • Configure and maintain PagerDuty integrations and alerts.
  • Ensure timely response and resolution of batch and application incidents.
B2B / Integration (Gentran)
  • Work with maps, mailboxes, and FTP scripts.
  • Analyze and troubleshoot custom Java programs supporting integrations.
Database & Stored Procedures
  • Configure, debug, and support stored procedures on MS SQL Server.
  • Work closely with database teams to resolve data and performance issues.
Soft Skills
  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
  • Ability to work independently and in cross-functional teams.
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills.
  • High level of ownership and accountability for production support.
