Overview

Beyond New Horizons, LLC (BNH) has an exciting opportunity for a Deputy Financial Officer, supporting TOS II, at Arnold AFB in Tullahoma, TN. The Deputy Financial Officer will be working as a member of an integrated executive team responsible for supporting the United States Air Force Test Operations and Sustainment efforts.

Job Summary

The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting the CFO overseeing all financial aspect of the company internal and external reporting, audits, tax filings, internal controls, regulatory compliance and business growth and profitability.

Job Duties:

    Involved in decision-making and managing financial risks to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
  • Ensures compliance with FAR, federal contractor laws, and government contract.
  • Prepare annual company operating budget and monthly forecast.
  • Assist in the monthly closing of the books.
  • Supports the CFO and executive team in overseeing budget, forecasting, and financial reporting efforts.
  • Ensures internal controls are maintained and recommends changes/updates for best practices.
  • Helps shape the strategic direction of BNH's financial operations.
  • Identify potential risks related to financial decisions and business activities.
  • Keeps executives up to date with the industry's best practices and approaches regarding budget, spending, financial decisions, and federal contractor compliance.
  • It is a condition of employment to wear PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) in accordance with supervisory direction and company policy.
  • Perform other duties as required.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or business administration with 10 years of financial experience, or an MBA with 8 years of financial experience, or PHD 5 years of financial experience, or related field with at least 15 years of progressive and relevant financial experience.
  • Supervisory experience overseeing financial functions for a minimum of 5 years.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain access to the AEDC local area network.
  • Current U. S. Citizenship required.
  • Good communication skills, both verbal and written.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong supervisory and leadership skills.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite including Power BI.
  • Proficient with financial software, ex (Deltek Costpoint, UKG, and People Soft).
  • Multistate operation experience.
  • Knowledge of AEDC financial systems and budgeting process.
