JOB SUMMARY

This shipping/receiving position is focused on our Generator Manufacturing Division and is responsible for the efficient flow of materials within a warehouse or manufacturing environment. Their duties include receiving, storing, and distributing materials, often using heavy duty forklifts to move 20,000+ pounds. They also maintain inventory records, ensure proper storage, and may assist in packaging and shipping.



RESPONSIBILITIES




  • Confirming the accuracy of quantity and examining the quality of incoming deliveries





  • Scrutinizing the stock available in the warehouse





  • Documenting orders and storing the merchandise systematically





  • Creating labels for different materials and compartmentalizing the goods accordingly





  • Storing parts in assigned locations and maintaining production sheets





  • Locating the correct product during the build process





  • Maintaining technical documentation for returns





  • Examining work orders to identify correct materials or containers





  • Loading or unloading materials onto or from containers, racks or trays





  • Assembling cartons or crates to store materials or products





  • Keeping an updated account of stock and inventory





  • Conducting regular maintenance of equipment to keep it in the best condition





  • Communicating purchasing requirements and maintaining data on the availability of products





  • Collaborating with internal departments to monitor and resolve delivery issues





  • Moving and discarding materials according to company policies and regional laws





  • Assist other team members, as needed, to ensure customer needs are met





  • Other duties as assigned by management

Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS




  • High school diploma or equivalent





  • At least one-year of warehouse and/or manufacturing environment experience





  • Heavy Duty Forklift (20,000+ lbs.) experience





  • Shipping and receiving experience a plus





  • Excellent computer skills





  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills




WORK CONDITIONS

Physical Demands/Work Environment:

This position regularly requires walking, standing, sitting, stooping, bending, kneeling, and climbing stairs. It also often requires pushing, pulling, twisting, lifting 50+ lbs. and working in a variety of weather conditions and noise levels.
