Overview

The COLUMBIA CLASS SHIP SYSTEMS Fluids Organization is seeking a highly motivated Project Coordinator Tech Aide (P/C Tech Aide) to take on several key roles, as described below in support of the new future design development.

Key Responsibilities:

The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting department management in the tracking and execution of daily work, as well as handling varied administrative/logistical job assignments and tasks. The ideal candidate is a strong team player who is willing to learn, take on new tasks and support teammates. Specific areas of responsibilities include:

    Run reports and produce data packages and/or presentations for various meetings and reviews, including completion and formatting of the reports.
  • Monitor the organization's cost and schedule performance using EB's Earned Valued Management and associated business systems.
  • Submit baseline change requests and weekly EVMS progressing for management
  • Assist management in creating labor transfer requests (LTRs)
  • Lead and/or participate in regularly scheduled meetings, document and complete assigned actions
  • Lead quarterly department labor audit
  • Contribute to various weekly metrics reports and weekly metric emails
  • Update and Maintain Department Web Page information and points of contact
  • Assist with dept on-boarding activities
  • Provide backup process IT service request and providing shared drive permissions
  • Backup coordinator for department commitment reporting and updates
  • Backup support for another directorate PCTA's
  • Backup support for Administrative Aide for word processing
  • Make travel arrangements & mange expense reports for department


Qualifications

Required:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 1-3 years of administrative experience (demonstrated experience in managing schedules and calendars, data entry and record keeping, and preparing reports all with Microsoft Office Products (Excel & Word))
  • The ability to obtain and maintain a Department of Defense secret clearance

Preferred:

  • Associates degree or higher
  • 5+ years of technical and administrative support experience
  • Working knowledge of EVMS, and demonstrated ability to compile cost and schedule performance report
  • Word skills to include developing table of contents and linking footnotes
  • Excel skills to include pivot charts/tables and updating databases
  • Experience working in a program office or engineering office
  • Experience dealing with EB technical and administrative departments such as Engineering, Planning, Contracts, Finance, Legal, and Accounting
  • Ability to independently interface with personnel in program finance, program office, program planning organizations to compile information and develop reports
  • Ability to work flexible hours as required to support department objectives
