You'll Supporting Meaningful Work By:
  • Building strong relationships with A&D firms, end users, dealers, and commercial clients across Manhattan, Connecticut, and Rhode Island, with a special emphasis on the NYC design community.
  • Driving revenue growth by representing Designtex's textiles, wallcoverings, custom print solutions, and 3M surface films while supporting a highimpact, highvisibility territory.
  • Engaging in 4-5 client meetings per day to maintain a strong market presence, nurture key accounts, and stay topofmind with major commercial clients.
  • Developing and executing a territory strategy that balances Manhattan's dense A&D ecosystem with broader engagement across CT and RI.
  • Collaborating closely with the Regional Sales Director and internal partners to receive product training, leverage SME expertise, and align growth opportunities.
  • Managing your schedule independently by planning travel throughout New York City and Connecticut, preparing client visits, and maintaining CRM records.
  • Representing Designtex with professionalism by delivering compelling product presentations and staying visible within Manhattan and surrounding markets.
Minimum Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a customerfacing sales role, ideally within commercial design, contract furniture, real estate, textiles, wallcoverings, or related finish materials.
  • Experience selling to or partnering with A&D firms, end users, or dealers, with familiarity navigating complex influencer networks.
  • Strong understanding of the commercial sales cycle and the decisionmaking dynamics within the architectural and design community.
  • Ability to manage a large, multistate territory (NY/CT/RI) with autonomy, including scheduling, travel, and daily client engagement.
  • Demonstrated selfstarter with strong presentation and communication skills, comfortable representing products in highvisibility markets like Manhattan.
Desired Skills and Experience:
  • Experience in textiles, wallcoverings, finishes, or materials aligned with the Designtex portfolio, especially within the Manhattan or New England commercial design markets.
  • Established relationships within the NYC A&D community or demonstrated ability to build strong networks in highdensity design markets.
  • Familiarity with commercial real estate, contract furniture, or adjacent industries involving complex sales cycles.
  • Ability to tailor presentations for varied audiences, including A&D firms, end users, and dealer partners across multiple states.
  • Experience managing a highvolume schedule in fastpaced, multimarket territories like NY, CT, and RI.
  • Strong organizational skills for managing customer libraries, samples, and product resources across geographically diverse accounts.
