What to Expect

Specialize in private and public cellular technologies in an enterprise, retail, and manufacturing environment. This role will provide private & public wireless solution design, implementation, and support. The engineer will ensure compliance to established system architecture, regulations, and security policies, follow standards and best practices, and author and maintain support documentation.


What You'll Do
  • Provide guidance and planning for cellular infrastructure in private and public networks
  • Identify and implement cellular network solutions to support use cases in manufacturing, warehouses, SSD, vehicles, and Optimus
  • Design, implement, and support 5G/LTE Radio Access & Core networks (end-to-end), including gNodeB deployment and CBRS spectrum management
  • Conduct onsite surveys, RF design, and solutions
  • Perform system capacity and performance planning to support private network use cases
  • Monitor, analyze, and report on metrics for wireless solutions, using data analytics for quick decision-making and proactive issue resolution
  • Set up monitoring tools and alerts for network performance, availability, and potential issues
  • Troubleshoot network issues related to latency, client connectivity, mobility, core network elements, and CBRS-related dependencies
  • Must be able to work occasional weekends, after hours, and holidays
  • 15% travel required as necessary

What You'll Bring
  • 5+ years of experience in 5G/LTE & CBRS Radio Access Network
  • Experience with indoor/DAS/Small cells implementation, including gNodeB configuration and CBRS priority access tiers
  • Strong understanding of private networks/CBRS band implementation and its dependencies
  • Experience in deploying and scaling private wireless networks and integrating use cases
  • Familiarity with IP networking, L2/L3 network protocols, TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS, QoS, NAT
  • Knowledge of RF principles, cellular technologies, and RF tools
  • Experience with private wireless client applications and proof-of-concepts (e.g., AGV, wireless torque tools, laptops, tablets, scanners, cameras, PLC communications)
  • Experience with enterprise wireless solutions, including core network troubleshooting and data-driven diagnostics
  • Experience with scripting to automate infrastructure deployment, collect metrics, and set up alerts for key performance indicators
  • Experience with private cellular network vendors (Ericsson, Nokia) is a plus
