Temple University's School of Medicine is searching for a Research Project Associate! Position Summary: Responsible for providing project/program support for research studies and community health programs executed at Center for Asian Health, Lewis Katz School of Medicine at Temple University. The Project Associate will provide support related to project coordination with both external and internal collaborators, and among study team; deliver research intervention activities including community-based outreach, community health education workshops, scheduling appointments, administering quantitative and qualitative data collection, bio sample collection support, data entry, project tracking and report preparation. Additional activities include partnership development and maintenance with faith-based and community-based organizations for community outreach, education, and cancer and health screening related to research project. Works under the supervision of the study Principal Investigator and Study Manager. Required Education and Experience: * Bachelor's degree in public health, sociology, nursing, psychology, or similar field, with at least three years of experience in health/public health, community engagement, program development and coordination. * Experience with program development and implementation coordination, community health education, providing training, and/or technical assistance preferred. Required Skills and Abilities: * Effective oral, written communication, and interpersonal skills. Fluency in English; Fluency in Asian languages, spoken and written. * Self-starter, highly organized, ability to prioritize, multi-task, work within deadlines, and pay attention to details. Strong time management skills and ability to work well under pressure. * Strong time-management and organizational skills and ability to work well under pressure. * Strong knowledge/skills required (eg. Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Zoom or other online meeting platforms). Preferred Education and Experience: * Experience working with diverse stakeholders and medically underserved communities. Essential Duties: * Project Coordination and Implementation - Provides comprehensive project/program support to a supervisor that includes but is not limited to: assisting with project planning, timelines, logistics and implementation; participant recruitment; assisting with project data collection and management activities; and translations as needed. Ensures tasks are completed accurately, on schedule, and in alignment with research protocols. * Report Writing and Documentation - Receives, classifies, reconciles and consolidates data. Compiles and prepares progress tracking and reports, verify information, determines report format, identifies discrepancies and make corrections. Research problems, issues and concerns and responds to requests for information and summarizes data based on information compiled from various sources. Ensures all documentation is well-organized, accurate, and submitted on schedule. Supports preparation of IRB amendments, protocol updates, and study documentation as needed. * Scheduling and Coordinating - Schedules appointments, preparing for study filed activities (checking the logistics, preparing on-site materials, participant and collaborators gift cards management, ordering and setting up food, etc., as needed) and other related duties. * Communication- Serves as a liaison between internal study team members, external collaborators, community partners, and participants. Ensures timely communication, organizes meeting agendas and notes, and maintains detailed documentation of action items. * Complete all required trainings for participating in human subject research (e.g., CITI training). Adheres to research ethics, IRB requirements, and institutional policies. * Participate in special projects and perform other duties as required. * Participate in research literature searching and review, provide support for conference abstract and presentation preparation, research manuscript development. * Conduct outreach activities to recruit potential participants for research projects. * Assists in the creation/translation of culturally specific hand-outs, flyers and other materials for the communities. * Outreach to community-based organizations, faith-based organizations, cultural groups, schools and other community spaces for the project. * Conduct culturally tailored health education workshops at community and faith-based organizations. * Foster relationships with community leaders and engage them in project meetings/coalitions. * Flexible Work Schedule: works a flexible schedule, including early mornings, evenings, and weekends for community events, recruitment sessions, data collection, and workshops, based on project needs. * Performs other duties as assigned This position is assigned a hybrid work arrangement (on-campus and remote), the duration of this hybrid work arrangement is at the discretion of Temple University and the Department.
