Position Summary

This application is for SPRING 2026 hiring only.

Core Roles and Responsibilities

  • The Student Office Assistant will provide general support for faculty/staff/students within the department and miscellaneous duties as assigned.
  • Provide accurate information, clear directions to campus resources and services, and answer phones professionally.
  • Represent CTL as a resource to connect the UNM community to available academic services.
  • Offer general administrative support, including filing, scanning documents, reporting supply needs for ordering, and providing assistance to the CTL Administrative Team.
  • Perform office duties such as typing, document formatting, inputting data, scanning/archiving documents.
  • Actively participate in the promotion, and staffing of 2-3 outreach events per semester; some social media posting, tech support, event sign-ins, flyers, emails, etc.
  • Provide support for CTL Events
  • Occasional light cleaning and organizing of the office and lobby and supplies

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Experience with customer service

High Level Organization Skills

Basic computer skills

Familiarity with Microsoft Office, Adobe and Canva

Printer/copier experience

Office work experience

Requirements For Consideration:
15-20 hour work week with scheduling flexibility
Attendance at weekly Friday trainings (3pm-5pm) during the semester
Enrollment in a minimum of 6 credit hours at the University of New Mexico in a degree-seeking program

PREFERENCE WILL BE GIVEN TO STUDENTS WITH OPEN AVAILABILITY AND WORK STUDY. But ALL applicants are welcome.

Must maintain acceptable academic standing, advance towards academic degree.
