About the Role

Culmen International is hiring a Project Coordinator to provide support for a program at the Walter Reed National Military Medical Center (WRNMMC) and will be onsite in Bethesda, MD.

The program works to improve the lives of service members through excellence in clinical care, and research. The program provides service members a clear path through diagnosis, treatment, and reintegration.



What You'll Do in Your New Role

The Project Coordinator will serve as a senior project management professional responsible for supporting the standardization of PMO practices and the successful execution of relevant executive projects. The Project Coordinator will provide project teams with direction to ensure all projects align with the organization's strategic goals and are representative of a high quality and high learning organization. The project Coordinator will serve as a consultant and SME on organizational and Project management practices, as well as healthcare operations and integrated patient care. The Project Coordinator will have a deep understanding of the dynamics of federal government stakeholder engagement, as well as the relevant policy and regulations as they impact the PMO.

Responsibilities:

    Conduct project oversight ensuring all projects align with the organization's strategic goals
  • Define and maintain standards for program/project management across the organization
  • Optimize the use of resources to maximize project outcomes
  • Foster collaboration among project teams to drive organizational change
  • Identify and manage risks to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget
  • Supports staff in the successful initiation, planning, design, execution, monitoring, controlling and closure of assigned projects
  • Collaborate with subject matter experts, task leads, and team members to define project requirements and success criteria
  • Track and report project status, milestones, and completions to leadership
  • Coordinate the establishment of PMO, program and project goals, objectives, and long-range plans
  • Assist in the evaluation of outpatient care patient feedback for access and quality measures at the facility
  • Collaborate with health care business, clinic management, scheduling, and informatics groups
  • Serve as liaison or PMO point of contact across federal stakeholders and integrated projects
  • Make recommendations for facility policies, procedures, systems, requirements, documents, and business or access analysis initiatives
  • Develop project management work products and materials
  • Other duties as assigned


Required Qualifications

  • Master's Degree in a relevant field (Healthcare, Business Operations, Project Management)
  • 8+ years of relevant healthcare project or operations management experience
  • Demonstrated Project Management, Program Management, or PMO Management experience
  • Demonstrated experience with healthcare projects or hospital/clinical operations
  • Demonstrated Federal Government experience, preferably within DoD
  • Demonstrated leadership experience
  • Ability to execute assigned tasks with minimal leadership oversight - well organized, self-motivated, and disciplined
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills
  • Ability to obtain DoD Suitability at the Public Trust level or higher


Desired Qualifications

  • PMP or other relevant certifications
  • Outpatient Clinic experience
  • Experience with Clinical Research projects
  • Military or Military Health experience
  • Change Management Certifications
