RSM is seeking a growthminded, techsavvy Management Consulting Director - CIO Advisory to provide strategic digital advisory services that elevate the effectiveness of our clients' technology environments, with a particular emphasis on supporting Government Sector organizations.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and deliver digital management consulting engagements for clients seeking to optimize performance, modernize technology, and advance their digital strategy.
  • Partner with publicsector and commercial clients to define digital strategies and roadmaps that enable organizational growth, operational efficiency, and regulatory alignment.
  • Drive business development efforts, including relationship building, pursuit leadership, and gotomarket activities aligned to the Government Sector.
  • Mentor, develop, and support a growing team of CIO Advisory professionals, fostering a strong performance and learning culture.
  • Stay current on emerging technologies and methodologies-including Digital Transformation, AI, Analytics, IT Operating Models, Automation, ERP, Cloud, Enterprise Architecture, and IT Service Management (ITSM).
  • Lead client discovery sessions, workshops, and assessments to understand business needs, translate requirements, and document futurestate workflows and technology recommendations.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor and liaison between stakeholders, users, and technical teams to ensure clarity in business requirements and delivery expectations.
  • Provide oversight on projects including process reengineering, ERP/CRM/financial system modernization, performance management solutions, operational and IT strategy assessments, and due diligence engagements.
  • Evaluate business processes, identify improvement opportunities, and develop actionable recommendations tailored to Government Sector needs such as compliance, security, funding cycles, procurement models, and regulatory frameworks.
  • Communicate insights, results, and plans effectively across client and internal teams through reports, presentations, and leadership discussions.
  • Contribute to thought leadership through presentations, articles, market insights, or collaboration with other RSM team members.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience delivering digital strategy, IT transformation, technology integration, outsourcing, or management consulting services.
  • Demonstrated experience selling and delivering IT consulting solutions involving strategy, people, process, technology, and infrastructure.
  • Strong understanding of ERP, CRM, financial reporting, and related enterprise systems.
  • Industry experience in one or more key sectors-Public Sector (preferred), Industrials, Life Sciences, Consumer Products, or Financial Services.
  • Exceptional oral and written communication skills, including highimpact client communications.
  • Strong analytical thinking and creative problemsolving abilities with the ability to apply best practices to realworld challenges.
  • Solid understanding of IT application lifecycles, IT general controls, and technology governance.
  • Experience in project management, business process improvement, business intelligence or ERP implementations, or M&A technology support.
  • Proven track record in client relationship building, account management, and sales.
  • Basic understanding of Data Privacy regulations and Government Sector compliance requirements.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Project, Visio, PowerPoint, Word, and related tools.
  • Ability and willingness to travel up to 50% locally and nationally.

At RSM, an employee's pay at any point in their career is intended to reflect their experiences, performance, and skills for their current role. The salary range (or starting rate for interns and associates) for this role represents numerous factors considered in the hiring decisions including, but not limited to, education, skills, work experience, certifications, location, etc. As such, pay for the successful candidate(s) could fall anywhere within the stated range.

Compensation Range: $141,900 - $286,000

Individualsselected for this role will be eligible for a discretionary bonus based on firm and individual performance.
