The student intern will support ongoing research projects in the Indzhykulian Laboratory focused on auditory neuroscience, inner ear biology, and hearing loss. Responsibilities will include quantitative analysis of microscopy datasets, development and application of deep-learning-based image analysis pipelines, data visualization, and support of computational aspects of gene therapy and structural biology projects. The intern will work closely with lab members to generate thesis-level research outputs.

Required skills: Strong background in computational biology, computer science, or quantitative genetics; experience with Python and deep learning frameworks (e.g., PyTorch/TensorFlow); familiarity with image analysis and microscopy data is preferred. Ability to work independently and collaborate in a multidisciplinary research environment, keep clear, well-organized records of computational workflows, code, parameters, and results, so that analyses are reproducible and understandable to other lab members.
