Senior Operator - Pilot Production (Cold Chain) Location: Roselle, IL Shift: First Shift \| FullTime Be part of something new. Build what's next. Why This Role Is Different This is a rare opportunity to join a BRANDNEW pilot production site focused on Cold Chain innovation. As a Senior Operator, you won't just run equipment - you'll help shape the processes, standards, and future of production from day one. You'll work in an engineeringdriven, pilot environment, collaborating closely with leadership, process development, and production teams to test, improve, and scale new technology. What You'll Do Lead production crews and operate pilotlevel converting and inline finishing equipment Set up, run, troubleshoot, and optimize production lines to meet quality, waste, and productivity standards Operate and adjust ancillary and inline equipment (labeling, gluing, applicators, rotary cutters, etc.) Perform minor mechanical repairs, webbing, tension adjustments, and equipment changeovers Partner with engineering and site leadership to identify improvements and influence new processes Train and mentor operators, fostering a culture of learning and continuous improvement Ensure accurate tracking of production data, materials, and line counts Promote and maintain a safe, clean, and efficient work environment Support a collaborative pilotsite culture where ideas are encouraged and tested What Makes You a Great Fit 5-7 years of handson experience operating converting or inline finishing equipment Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills Experience working in manufacturing, converting, packaging, or pilot/engineering environments Proven ability to lead crews and work independently with minimal supervision Continuousimprovement mindset - you enjoy solving problems and making things better Ability to work safely in fastmoving production environments Work Environment Pilot manufacturing environment with exposure to moving equipment Heat, humidity, and noise typical of production settings Standing, lifting (up to 50 lbs.), climbing, and operating machinery PPE required Why Join This Pilot Site Be part of a groundfloor launch with high visibility Influence how production processes are built and scaled Work closely with leadership and engineering teams Grow your skills in a cuttingedge Cold Chain environment Build something new - not just maintain the status quo #EVT Compensation: The listed annualized base pay range is primarily based on analysis of similar positions. Actual base pay could vary and may be above or below the listed range based on factors including but not limited to performance, proficiency and demonstration of competencies required for the role. The base pay is just one component of Pregis's total compensation package. The hourly base pay range for this role is estimated to be $32 to $36.
