Description
Job Title: Service Crew FLSA Status: FT - E Rate of Pay: $325/ weekly Closing Date: 1/31/2026 Benefits: Standard; Part-Time, Non-Exempt employees are eligible for but not limited to the following:
GENERAL DUTIES: * Attend and participate in evening programs and spiritual activities. * Maintain a standard of cleanliness in personal grooming and in living quarters. * Assist with the clean-up of the total camp at the end of each session and at the conclusion of the summer. * Assist with evening cabin activities. * Attend and participate in Staff Orientation. * Attend and participate in all camp wide activities, campfires, staff meetings and staff devotions * Assist with Camper check-in and check-out. SPECIFIC DUTIES: Safety and Supervision * Enforce, and abide by, all camp policies and procedures * Responsible for the health and well-being of self and campers. * Maintain the utmost level of safety for staff and campers at all times * Practice and enforce all camp safety regulations and emergency procedures.
* Ensure compliance with American Camping Association standards of safety and programmatic conduct at all times. * Coordinate and implement all program components relative to the daily schedule in a timely fashion. * Attend relevant in-service trainings. Weekly Responsibilities * Report to the Service Crew Leader and follow instructions for daily tasks as assigned. * Assist in the maintenance of High Peak Camp by;
* Setup and clean up of camp fires. * Assist with programming of all campfire programs.
* Take part is special camp property projects. * Set and clear tables before and after each meal. * Serve food during assigned meals. * Assist in dining room preparation for each camp session. * Assist in dish rooms duties as assigned.
* Deliver program supplies as needed to program areas. * Assist in camper supervision under the direction of other staff members. * Perform all other duties and roles assigned by the Director and Assistant Director.
* Lastly and most important:
Qualifications and Education Requirements: * 15 years of age (by May 1st) * Ability to following through with assigned tasks. * Has a strong work ethic and ability to follow procedures. * Flexible attitude. * Maintain a high standard of personal and communal living and behaviors. * Must have or obtain ServSafe certification at time of employment. * Be supportive of The Salvation Army's mission. Ability to reflect and model the high standards of our organization as one of the world's most distinguished human services charitable organizations. Physical Requirements: Ability to walk, stand, bend, squat, climb, kneel, and twist on an intermittent or continuous basis. Ability to grasp, push, pull, and reach overhead. Ability to operate telephone. Ability to lift to 50 pounds. Ability to work at height while harnessed at 50 or more feet from the ground. Ability to access and produce information from the computer.
