Hours: 7:00 a.m. - 3:30 p.m., Monday through Friday (some Saturdays required)

Job Summary
As A1 Balers of Florida continues to expand operations in West Palm Beach, we are seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Painter to support shop and field operations. Our division specializes in solid waste equipment refurbishing and repair, including mobile compactor and baler service, truck refurbishing, and container restoration. This position plays a critical role in maintaining the quality, durability, and appearance of refurbished equipment delivered to our customers.
Essential Job Functions
The Painter is responsible for the preparation, repair, and painting of equipment, containers, and compactors, ensuring high-quality workmanship and adherence to safety standards.
Painting & Refurbishment Duties

Clean and maintain shop and yard areas
*
Remove stickers, labels, and lids from cans and containers
*
Prepare surfaces for painting, including sanding, masking, and priming
*
Paint roll-off cans, containers, and compactors using brushing and rolling techniques
*
Paint container bottoms and complete all required touch-ups
*
Support refurbishment projects on roll-off containers and compactors
Technical & Repair Responsibilities
*
Disassemble and reassemble vehicles and equipment as required
*
Wash and prepare vehicles and equipment for paint
*
Perform minor bodywork and surface repairs
*
Conduct body repairs on heavy-duty equipment, including Rear Load, Front Load, Roll-Off, Grapple, Port-a-Let, and other service trucks (chassis and bodies)
*
Utilize single-stage and two-stage paint systems
*
Conduct repairs using Factory Service Manuals when necessary
*
Perform safety inspections on vehicles and equipment
*
Research repair methods and technical information to properly restore trucks, chassis, and bodies
Administrative & Safety Responsibilities
*
Accurately complete all required paperwork and computer data entry, including parts usage and labor time on repair orders
*
Follow all company safety policies and procedures
*
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area in compliance with corporate and OSHA standards
*
Demonstrate a high standard of ethics, dependability, and professionalism
Physical & Work Environment Requirements
*
Ability to stand for extended periods throughout the workday
*
Ability to climb ladders to paint compactors, including top surfaces
*
Work outdoors in varying weather conditions
*
Work under covered areas and in direct sunlight
*
Perform hands-on, physically demanding work in a fast-paced environment
Overtime Expectations
During periods of high project volume, overtime will be required. Employees must be willing to work until 5:00 p.m. as needed and may be scheduled for Saturday work to meet operational demands.

Qualifications
*
Working knowledge of body fillers, epoxy and urethane primers and paints
*
Experience with single-stage and two-stage paint systems
*
Strong knowledge of paint and body repair techniques
*
Basic computer skills for documentation and work order entry
*
Possession of a personal toolbox and commonly used body repair and painting tools
*
Mechanic trade school certification or a minimum of three (3) years of relevant experience
*
Valid 6H Federal EPA Certification
