Job title: Team Lead - Premium Care Job location: Edison, NJ Hillebrand Gori USA, LLC, is currently seeking a highly motivated and experienced Team Lead - Premium Care! As the Team Lead - Premium Care at Hillebrand Gori, you will play a pivotal role in coordinating implementation of Ocean Freight Ops / Customer Service strategy and plans to deliver flow of goods and information across the customer's global supply chain utilizing ocean transportation, maximizing profitability and optimizing utilization of business and human assets in line with business strategy and objectives, corporate guidelines, and policies. You will work closely with internal teams (operations, sales, and procurement) and external partners (customers) to produce and deliver market competitive results, quickly and efficiently to our customer base. - Coordinate implementation of OFR Ops/CS strategy and plans in line with business strategy and requirements, corporate guidelines and policies
- Monitor day-to-day operations of the team, prioritize and assign tasks to effectively utilize team's resources, and meet work schedules and targets to provide ocean freight services for internal and external customers
- Contribute to develop, maintain and achieve ocean freight productivity targets
- Train and mentor team members on value added services such as heavy weight programs, usage of shippers owned containers, customs handling services, shipment value protection, thermal protection, baseloads and handling of adjacent commodities
- Seek opportunities to expand business with new clients and continuously improve in-house customer services
- Develop close business relationship with existing clients and achieve a desired level of customer retention
- Keep track of account performances, prepare and provide monthly reports to management
- Establish and develop business relationships with customers through regular customer visits
- Contribute to development of shipping tenders and ensure on-time submission on relevant documents
- Promptly respond to and redirect pricing enquiries from customers.
- Implement all facets of inbound and outbound documentation for all services
- Contribute to processes and design systems to enhance service quality and alignment with company's direction and long-term goals
- Detect issues and opportunities, and implement improved practices for OFR Ops/CS focusing on increasing effectiveness and efficiency
In area of OFR product:
- Create and/or confirm transport orders, perform and optimize import logistics operations
- Prepare, control, and distribute all required Import documents
- Identify performance issues of stakeholders, and propose solutions to improve performance
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in import / freight forwarding / sales
- Bachelor's Degree preferred
- 3-5 years' experience managing other employees
- Strong knowledge of the BWS (beer, wines, and spirits) market, including key players, industry regulations, and logistics requirements.
- Proven track record of successfully managing large-scale accounts and achieving sales targets.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to build and maintain strong relationships with customers.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a strategic mindset.
- Proficiency in MS Office applications, particularly PowerPoint and Excel.
- Domestic travel as required.
