Role Purpose

Consulting, Strategy & Operations is a division within Gartner which encompasses Consulting Technology and other core functions to support Gartner's Consulting teams. This role will partner with key business stakeholders across the company to support a Consulting organization of more than 1,000 associates. Consulting Technology is on the forefront of innovation helping Consulting Associates to sell and deliver high quality engagements.

As a manager, you will be required to establish best practices and define new ways to analyze data while building team morale and defining new processes. Partnering with the key business stakeholders, you will be responsible for improving business communication and for modernizing our analytics and generating actionable insights. Primary Responsibilities

  • Define and analyze large datasets across multiple internal/external sources using SQL and Python

  • Demonstrate the ability to present and provide actionable insights from data

  • Ability to come up with an overall design strategy for all analytics that serve the user needs

  • Ability to define and model the semantic layer that will create a scalable structure for self-service analytics

  • Influence and educate stakeholders on the appropriate data, tools and visualizations

  • Mentor teammates to follow best practices around data analysis, data architecture, data governance and data modeling

  • Review all analytics for quality before final artifacts are delivered to customers

  • Partner with IT to provide different ways of improving on existing processes

Expected Results

  • Successful contribution to the delivery of Gartner Analytics through the development and implementation of best-in-class data architecture, processes and governance

  • Effectively mentor the team to upskill them on technical capabilities and best practices

  • Build a strong relationship with the business stakeholders to ensure understanding of business needs.

  • Ensure that all assigned Consulting Analytics demonstrate business value and satisfy all defined business requirements gathered through consistent customer feedback.

  • Communication and change are managed across Consulting to ensure successful adoption of Analytics

Education

  • Graduate or equivalent level qualification, preferably in a related discipline

Professional Experience

  • 5+ years of experience in Data and Analytics: mappings, collecting data from multiple sources, data modeling, data governance and data analysis

  • Advanced SQL and Python skills, ability to analyze data across multiple systems and platforms

  • Experience with visualization tools such as Power BI, Tableau etc.

  • Experience working with and creating analytics to enable stakeholders for data driven decision making

  • Experience using analytic techniques to contribute to Gartner's growth efforts, increasing revenue and other key business outcomes.

  • Strong problem solving, quantitative and analytical abilities

  • Excellent communication, collaboration and delegation skills

  • Strong knowledge of Agile principles and process; experience driving requirements and delivery with SCRUM teams

  • Ability to solve complex problems and successfully manage ambiguity and unexpected change

Gartner believes in fair and equitable pay. A reasonable estimate of the base salary range for this role is 84,000 USD - 108,000 USD. Please note that actual salaries may vary within the range, or be above or below the range, based on factors including, but not limited to, education, training, experience, professional achievement, business need, and location. In addition to base salary, employees will participate in either an annual bonus plan based on company and individual performance, or a role-based, uncapped sales incentive plan.
