Security Officer -Government Center - Full Time

As a Security Officer - Government Center - Full Time in San Diego, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal, you will help to deter security-related incidents by conducting routine patrols and remaining highly visible throughout a government location. You will interact with visitors and staff, provide outstanding customer service, and support a secure environment. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or suspicious behavior.
• Observe and report any security-related incidents, hazards, or unusual situations encountered during patrols.
• Communicate clearly and professionally with clients, visitors, and/or employees while on duty.
• Follow post orders and instructions provided by Allied Universal and site management.
• Assist with access control by monitoring entry and exit points as required.
• Complete detailed and accurate incident reports and daily activity logs as directed by Allied Universal.

Minimum Requirements:

• At least 6 months of security-related experience is required.
• Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
