As a Security Officer - Tech Campus Entry in West Columbia, SC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Access Control Officer supporting a dynamic tech and media location. In this role, you will help to deter security-related incidents by monitoring access points, verifying credentials, and conducting routine patrols. What You'll Do:

• Monitor and control access to the location, verifying credentials and granting entry to authorized personnel and visitors in accordance with site-specific procedures.
• Provide customer service by assisting employees, visitors, and contractors with inquiries and directions.
• Carry out security-related procedures and follow site policies, including responding to alarms and incidents in a calm, problem-solving manner.
• Document and report any irregularities, security-related incidents, or unusual activities observed at the location.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the premises and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized access and identify potential security-related concerns.
• Support emergency response activities as directed, following established protocols and communicating clearly with relevant parties.
• Collaborate with Allied Universal team members and location staff to maintain a secure and welcoming environment.

Minimum Requirements:

• Must have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Experience with access control or badge systems is preferred.
• Experience with alarm panels is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
