Job Summary:

As a Senior Recruiter at OpenGov, you'll be a key player in scaling our high-performing sales organization and broader go-to-market teams. This role goes beyond filling seats - you'll be recruiting the talent that drives OpenGov's mission forward. You'll operate with speed and intensity, partner closely with executives and hiring managers, and bring clarity, creativity, and judgment to every search.

You'll own full-cycle recruiting from strategy to close and represent the OpenGov brand in the market with excellence and authenticity. This is an opportunity to directly shape the teams fueling OpenGov's next phase of growth.

Responsibilities:

Full-Cycle Recruitment:

  • Own end-to-end recruiting for sales and go-to-market roles, from intake to offer acceptance.

  • Partner with hiring managers and senior leaders to define role requirements, assess talent needs, and create clear hiring strategies.

  • Source, engage, and close top talent using platforms like Ashby, LinkedIn Recruiter, and other sourcing tools.

  • Maintain tight operational rigor in candidate tracking, pipeline health, and data accuracy within ATS systems.

Strategic Talent Acquisition:

  • Design and execute targeted recruiting strategies aligned to business goals, market conditions, and OpenGov's high bar for talent.

  • Partner with HRBPs, Finance, and leadership to anticipate future needs and enable workforce planning.

  • Use market intelligence and data to advise leaders on talent availability, competition, and recruiting performance.

Data and Insights:

  • Leverage recruiting analytics in Ashby to report on pipelines, conversion rates, and time-to-fill.

  • Present data-driven insights to hiring leaders, highlighting areas to improve velocity and quality of hire.

  • Ensure exceptional data hygiene and consistent reporting across systems to enable accurate dashboards and insights.

Candidate Experience:

  • Deliver a best-in-class candidate experience that reflects OpenGov's mission and values.

  • Conduct thoughtful recruiter interviews and reference checks, using good judgment to evaluate both skill and cultural alignment.

  • Represent OpenGov authentically as a mission-driven, high-accountability, and high-energy organization.

Compliance and Adaptability:

  • Ensure all recruitment practices comply with applicable laws, regulations, and organizational policies.

  • Demonstrate flexibility and adaptability to meet the evolving needs of a high-growth SaaS environment.

Required Qualifications:
  • 4+ years of recruiting experience, preferably in a high-growth SaaS or technology company.

  • Strong experience with applicant tracking systems (e.g., Ashby, Greenhouse) and sourcing tools such as LinkedIn Recruiter.

  • Demonstrated ability to influence and collaborate effectively with senior leadership.

  • Expertise in building active and passive candidate pipelines.

  • Excellent phone and video presence and ability to qualify senior talent effectively.

  • Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.

Compensation:

Chicago, IL: $100,000 - $125,400

On target ranges above include base plus a portion of variable compensation that is earned based on company and individual performance.

The final compensation will be determined by a number of factors such as qualifications, expertise, and the candidate's geographical location.
