About the MultiCare Cancer Institute

The MultiCare Cancer Institute is a physician led institute within the MultiCare Health System with multi-specialty partnership across hematology/oncology, radiation, surgical and supportive oncology service lines. We diagnose and treat more than 6,000 new cancer cases per year and span the state of Washington from Olympia, Spokane, Tacoma and Yakima. Our team and state-of-the-art programs create a world-class health care organization and the destination center for complex, disease-specific cancer care, advanced pathology and imaging support, and holistic supportive oncology care. We are growing to become the Pacific Northwest's highest value system of oncology care, with a goal of doubling our cancer caseloads by 2028.

Position Summary

The MultiCare Cancer Institute is seeking a full-time medical oncologist with an interest in GI or GU to join a strong and well-established program in Auburn, Washington.

The Practice

  • Join a team of disease site experts dedicated to developing cutting-edge multidisciplinary approaches to patient care and advancing oncology treatment

  • Be part of building Centers of Excellence focused on comprehensive, specialized cancer care, leveraging the latest in research, innovation, and collaborative expertise

  • Research opportunities, both industry-sponsored clinical trials and investigator-initiated research, in collaboration with dedicated staff

  • Base Compensation Based on Years of Experience (YOE) per 1.0 FTE. Schedule M-F plus call split amongst physicians.
    0-3 years: $490,000.00
    4+ years: $591,400.00

Position Summary

MultiCare Health System is seeking a BC/BE Medical Oncologist to join a well-established program that has provided oncology care to the area for over 40 years. New physicians will work within a growing, multi-disciplinary team including medical oncologists, radiation oncologists, surgical oncologists, oncologic proceduralists, and advanced practice providers. Ideal candidates will be instrumental in ensuring high patient satisfaction and high value oncology care. There is an opportunity for research and being a principal investigator.

Requirements


  • Board certified/eligible at time of employment
  • Licensed in the state of WA by the time of employment
  • DEA, NPI & prescriptive authority
  • Current BLS for Healthcare Providers certification by the American Heart Association

Pay and Benefit Expectations

We provide a comprehensive benefits package, including competitive salary, medical, dental and retirement benefits and paid time off. As required by various pay transparency laws, we share a competitive range of compensation for candidates hired into each position. The pay scale is $490,000.00 - $591,400.00 USD. However, pay is influenced by factors specific to applicants, including but not limited to: skill set, level of experience, and certification(s) and/or education. If this position is associated with a union contract, pay will be reflective of the appropriate step on the pay scale to which the applicant's years of experience align.
