opportunity for a Quality Inspector to join
our team! Magnetic Seal, LLC a division of Ducommun is an award winning company
serving the aerospace industry as the partner of choice for high quality, value
engineered seal solutions that consistently meet or exceed our customers'
quality and delivery expectations. This opportunity will be located
in Warren, Rhode Island.

Position Summary
The Quality Inspector performs visual and dimensional inspections on
machined components utilized in the assembly of Aerospace and Industrial
seals. Using various handheld and
benchtop measurement equipment this position ensures compliance to both
internal and customer dimensional requirements. The candidate will be responsible for generating and completing
appropriate documentation such as dimensional inspection records, production
routers, and non-conformance reports.

Essential Functions:
- Responsible for a broad range of daily Quality Inspection functions to include:
- Performs Incoming, In-Process, and Final Inspections on Machines Parts
- Ability to interpret blueprints, work instructions, and other customer and industry specifications
- Understands geometric symbols and tolerances
- Use of standard measurement gages such as calipers, micrometer, drop indicators, etc.
- Ensure both dimensional and visual compliance to internal and customer standards
- Adheres to Quality systems procedures and submits discrepancy reports / material review requests when problems are found
- Evaluate MagSeal's product specifications and examine them to meet customer requirements
- Good understanding of GD&T with a clear understanding of its intent.
- Follow prescribed Quality Work instructions and utilize equipment as directed.
- Responsible for a broad range of daily Quality Control functions to include:
- Discusses inspection results with those responsible for products, and recommends corrective actions
- Notifies supervisor and other personnel of production problems, and assists in identifying and correcting these problems
- Discards or rejects product, materials, and equipment not meeting the specifications
- Verify raw material lot number traceability
- Responsible for storing and handling all Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI) appropriately to prevent unauthorized access, dissemination, or use of this information or documentation.
- Support all visitor and security policies to protect ITAR/EAR/CMMC/CUI information, documents, product, etc. from unauthorized access by informing management immediately of any concerns.
- Responsible for the proper handling and management of hazardous waste generated in employee's work area.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Regular and acceptable attendance and is an essential function of this job.

Required Skills
& Qualifications:
- Acts in a self-confident manner to facilitate completion of a work assignment
- Background in mechanical Engineering with Basic CAD understanding
- Ability to read and understand technical drawings (blueprints).
- Computer literate in Microsoft Word, Access, Excel, ERP Systems, Document Control and other databases.Able to learn additional programs as needed.
- Direct technical skills in reference to the equipment in the cell
- Assures all work is processed in a swift and timely fashion with high quality result
- Demonstrates a safety first thought process.
- Perform work accurately and thoroughly.
- Communicate effectively with others both verbally and in written form.

Required Experience/Education/Training/Certifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- At least one (1) year of continuous, professional experience in Quality is required.

Physical Requirements:
- Able to stand, walk and sit frequently.
- Must be able to bend, squat and kneel occasionally.
- Must be able to reach outward frequently.
- Must be able to reach above shoulder occasionally.
- Must be able to use fine manipulation frequently.
- Able to handle and grasp tools/equipment and products repetitively.
- Finger dexterity to rotate parts constantly.
- Able to read and write in English
- Must be able to lift/carry up to 20 lbs. frequently.
- Must be able to lift/carry up to 50 lbs. occasionally.
- Must be able to push/pull up to 50 lbs. occasionally.
- Visual Acuity - Able to see close detail, distance and colors constantly
- May come into contact with chemicals.

Work Environment and Safety Equipment Required:
- Manufacturing shop and inspection lab environment with open floor space; may be noisy at times and is climate-controlled.
- Able to work onsite per business needs and per employee's standard hours.
- Able to wear required Personal Protective Equipment constantly.

ITAR/EAR Compliance:
This position requires access to export-controlled information and/or hardware,
and candidates must be U.S. Persons that comply with all U.S. Export control
laws and regulation. As such, U.S. citizenship, U.S. lawful permanent resident
status, protected person status under 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3), or the ability to
meet ITAR and EAR requirements is required.
