Job Description

General Summary:

Vertex is seeking to hire a NA Omnichannel Analytics, Director, Kidney

to join the North America Forecasting, Analytics & Insights team. The Director will be responsible for shaping and extending Vertex's data analytics strategy into the Kidney business unit by building on established frameworks for measurement strategy. The Director's remit includes both HCP and patient audiences, spanning digital media (search, social, web, email, online video) and personal marketing channels (field force, congress, speaker programs, webinars, sampling). The Director will partner closely with key stakeholders in the Kidney business unit, internal analytics SMEs and agency partners to translate complex customer data and analytics into recommendations that inform decision-making for channel investments, customer targeting/activation and ongoing optimizations.

Key Duties and Responsibilities: (will include but are not limited to the following)

Strategy and Leadership:

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive omnichannel analytics strategy aligned with the objectives of the business
  • Lead omnichannel insights, strategic recommendations and business communications to the business unit leadership team
  • Analyze customer behavior and engagement to identify and characterize key customer segments. Collaborate with sales and marketing teams to develop robust targeting strategies to deliver key messages tailored to each unique customer journey
  • Provide strategic leadership and guidance to media agency partners to shape and refine digital media strategy, ensuring campaigns are leveraging great analytics to deliver highly targeted, customer-focused messaging

Measurement and Analytics:

  • Integrate and evolve Vertex-established key performance indicators (KPIs) to clearly and reliably measure the effectiveness of omnichannel performance
  • Collect business stakeholder analytics and dashboard requirements to ensure omnichannel reporting dashboards and KPIs align to the needs of the business
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive omnichannel performance dashboards in partnership with Vertex data, technology and engineering teams
  • Provide regular presentations with actionable recommendations to cross-functional and executive teams to optimize omnichannel campaign performance
  • Lead efforts to develop regular (1-2 per year) marketing mix analyses, partnering with advanced analytics team to develop models, while owning the process of communicating results into a clear story of impact, ROI and future-state channel investment recommendations

Data Management:

  • Establish quality standards for data collected internally and externally and ensure that those standards are continually being met in partnership with cross-functional teams
  • Manage operations related to tagging commercial digital assets, in line with compliance and business standards

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Proficient in digital media and customer analytics, including patient and HCP targeting strategies, measurement and refinements
  • Experience measuring, mining, and generating insights from digital customer engagement data within all digital channels, including website, paid media, social media, and email campaign data sets
  • Experience with approaches to testing platform effectiveness and media analytics/reporting
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, particularly when delivering to senior leaders
  • Proven leadership and team management skills
  • Solid understanding of advanced statistical measurement and analytics techniques, including strong familiarity with data mining and exploratory analytics tools such as SQL, R or Python
  • Highly collaborative in both operational and strategic environments
  • Strong attention to detail with deep analytics experience

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree
  • 10+ years of qualified work experience, including 7+ years in digital marketing analytics and media strategy required
  • 7+ years relevant experience in the US Pharmaceutical industry required

Pay Range:

$185,900 - $278,900

Disclosure Statement:

The range provided is based on what we believe is a reasonable estimate for the base salary pay range for this job at the time of posting. This role is eligible for an annual bonus and annual equity awards. Some roles may also be eligible for overtime pay, in accordance with federal and state requirements. Actual base salary pay will be based on a number of factors, including skills, competencies, experience, and other job-related factors permitted by law.

In this Hybrid-Eligible role, you can choose to be designated as:
