Job Description




As a Security Officer - Armed Government Patrol Driver in Lillington, NC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As a Patrol Armed Officer with Allied Universal, you will help to deter security-related incidents by conducting routine patrols and maintaining a visible presence at a government location. This dynamic, driving and armed role involves monitoring assigned areas, providing exceptional customer service, and supporting a secure environment. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, following site-specific policies, and participating in emergency response activities as needed.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm and problem-solving manner, supporting a secure environment at the location.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols around the facility and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify any unusual occurrences.
  • Monitor entrances, exits, and other designated areas to help to deter unauthorized access and support compliance with facility rules.
  • Document and report observations, incidents, and suspicious activity according to Allied Universal and client protocols.
  • Collaborate with local law enforcement and/or emergency personnel as required during incidents or critical situations.
  • Maintain a visible presence to help to deter potential disruptions and provide assistance to staff, visitors, and authorized personnel as needed.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
