The Trade Desk Consultant will be responsible for incremental business growth for their assigned targeted areas. This role will educate customers on the Offsite solutions product and services and actively seek opportunities to grow the relationship by connecting buyers and sellers to facilitate deal conversion.

The Trade Desk Consultant will manage assigned customer relationships for Manheim's customers with the goal of providing a personalized auction experience and promoting offsite inventory. The Consultant will deliver a personalized, low-effort, positive auction experience to our dealer clients by proactively understanding offsite inventory and facilitating successful digital wholesaling.

Job Description

  • Utilizing the Trade Desk Deal Dashboard and other sources, work all offers and bids below floor for assigned region. Interface with seller and buyer as many times as necessary to bring the deal to a close.
  • Create, nurture, and leverage positive client relationships to structure, negotiate, and close vehicle sales directly with clients.
  • Respond to inquiries or concerns by providing assistance, addressing service concerns and facilitating sale requirements.
  • Serves as interface to improve customer experience and productivity by collecting, analyzing, identifying, and presenting information.
  • Develop and strengthen relationships with dealers over the phone and online through planned contact and meetings.
  • Identify and build knowledge of market and MMR trends, service themes, make/model demand, and critical client feedback to assimilate into weekly territory recap to leadership.
  • Collaborates with customer account team (Client Solutions Specialist, Inventory Specialist, Manheim Express Leadership, CSE's and auction partners) to identify and capitalize on opportunities for growth.
  • Develops positive relationships with clients, seeking to understand their vehicle requirements and helping them understand auction processes, vehicle availability and processes for sale, preparation, and delivery.
  • Educates clients on the online vehicle exchange, simulcast and on other company services, ensuring understanding and realistic expectations.
  • Serves as point person for resolution of client issues, in partnership with Trade Desk Leadership, Field Sales, auction representatives and other stakeholders.
  • Provides a direct communications link to clients, ensuring their expectations are met and service issues resolved.
  • Investigates, troubleshoots and resolves identified problems and issues.
  • Utilizes SalesForce.com to record all client interactions, run reports, and analyze client data.
  • Educate and inform customers of specific opportunities that match buying/selling habits.
  • Proactively educates dealers on offsite solutions and value proposition.
  • Works directly with customer via email & phone to ensure expectations are met and service issues are resolved.
  • Demonstrates professionalism and sincere appreciation for the business relationships that have been established amongst the dealers and Manheim.
  • Function as a solid team player and work closely with teammates, field sales, and customer care to create a superior customer experience.
  • Work with manager and other stakeholders to ensure a consistent and effective online and in-lane customer experience, appropriate transaction processing, high customer satisfaction and service levels.
  • Ability to understand and follow all policies, processes and guidelines in a consistent and professional manager.
  • Visibly demonstrates safety commitment by following all safety and health procedures and modeling the behaviors related to such.
  • Performs other duties as assigned by management.


Required Experience & Specialized Knowledge and skills

  • High school diploma/GED and 3 years' experience.
  • 2 years dealership or wholesale experience strongly preferred. Previous experience in sales role desired.
  • Effective communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills required.
  • Ability to engage customers in a consultative manner and effectively recommend additional products and services.
  • Ability to work in a high performance, fast-paced team environment.
  • Solid computer skills, including ability to use Internet and MS Office effectively.
  • Ability to process information with a high level of accuracy.
  • Ability to manage multiple concurrent objectives, projects or activities, making effective judgements as to prioritizing and time allocations.
  • Ability to adapt to and work effectively within a constantly changing environment.
  • Excellent customer service and problem-solving skills required.
  • Ability to sit or stand for prolonged periods of time.
  • Ability to perform repetitive tasks, manual dexterity.
  • Vision abilities required include close, distance and depth perception.
  • Other duties as needed or required.
  • Requires physical ability and mental acuity to execute the duties of the position successfully within required timeframes to meet business requirements.


DMCOX

USD 20.29 - 30.48 per hour

Compensation:

Hourly pay rate is $20.29 - $30.48/hour. The hourly rate may vary within the anticipated range based on factors such as the ultimate location of the position and the selected candidate's experience. In addition to the hourly range identified herein, this role is also eligible for an annual incentive/commission target of $24,000.00.

Benefits:

Employees are eligible to receive a minimum of sixteen hours of paid time off every month and seven paid holidays throughout the calendar year. Employees are also eligible for additional paid time off in the form of bereavement leave, time off to vote, jury duty leave, volunteer time off, military leave, and parental leave.
