Hours: Monday - Friday, 8am - 5pm.

Compensation:

* Base Pay Range: $117,124.80 - $190,881.60, based on experience

ABOUT THE JOB

MU Health Care is looking for a supervisor to join our specialty pharmacy team to lead our specialty clinical pharmacy programs. In addition to directly managing patients, core responsibilities include overseeing specialty pharmacy accreditation, ensuring and maintaining compliance with URAC and ACHC accreditation standards, preparing for and conducting meetings, and leading, inspiring, and mentoring a diverse team of pharmacy professionals. DETAILED JOB DESCRIPTION

Implement, oversee, and enforce special requirements for the various third-party payers.

Implement and maintain department pharmacy policy and procedures and third-party contract compliance and maintenance.

Expand, grow, and track the department business.

Implement profitability tracking systems for the business.

Assist in the selection, education, training, and evaluation of current staff, students, and residents.

Supervise and review the work of professional and technical personnel.

Develop, delegate, and monitor departmental goals, objectives, and programs.

Engage in optimizing pharmacy operations by focusing on measurable results in the department.

Serve as a liaison between the provider clinics and the department. (For Specialty Supervisor only): Serve as specialty pharmacy Compliance Officer including monitoring the implementation of the compliance program, tracking and communicating regulatory changes, ensuring internal alignment with requirements, investigating compliance issues, error tracking, overseeing the Quality Management Program, and leading the Quality Management Committee (QMC).

Develop, coordinate, and maintain daily staffing schedules to ensure the appropriate level of unit coverage and continuity of care.

Monitor time and attendance in alignment with MU Health Care policies and practices, ensuring accuracy of records and timely submittal/approval for payroll purposes.

May complete unit/department-specific duties and expectations as outlined in department documents.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

Pharmacist licensure by the Missouri Board of Pharmacy. Medication Therapy Services (MTS) endorsement by the Missouri Board of Pharmacy within one (1) year as a condition of continued employment in this job classification. One (1) year of outpatient or ambulatory pharmacist experience.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Experience in a supervisory role. Completion of an ASHP-accredited PGY1 Residency. Additional license/certification requirements as determined by the hiring department.
