What to Expect
As a Maintenance Supervisor, you will lead a team of maintenance technicians to ensure the performance, reliability, and efficiency of manufacturing equipment. You willbe responsible forpreventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement initiatives tooptimizeproduction uptime. This role requires strong technicalexpertise, leadership, and cross-functional collaboration with Engineering, Quality, and Production teams.
What You'll Do
- Overseeroutine andpreventative maintenance on industrialFixed andAutomatedequipment includingVertical andHorizontal conveyance,Automated GuidedVehicles, Balers,Robots,Dock-levelers, and Charging equipmentand ability totroubleshoot electrical systems ranging from 24 VDC to 480 VAC 3-phase
- Provide effective supervision, training and coaching to assigned maintenance employees to achieve the required equipment up time, equipment repairs, and production goals
- Maintain asafeworkenvironmenttoinclude 5Swhile ensuring all employeescomply withsafety regulations and the plant's safety programand company standards
- Effectivelycommunicate equipment issues withProductionteam
- Order parts, supplies, and equipment from catalogues and suppliers, or obtain them from storerooms
- Provide theshift-to-shiftcommunication linktokeep all team members working toward the same goals.Communicate toemployees aboutall issues that affect thefactory
- Perform other tasks asdirectedby managementthat support the department, factory, and Tesla's mission
What You'll Bring
- Degree in Management, Engineering or related disciplines or equivalent experience preferred. Equivalent background would involve a minimum of five years in manufacturing maintenance and machine operations experience with progressive responsibility
