Overview

The primary function of the technician is to perform electrical/electronic, mechanical and maintenance tasks in support of test, prototype fabrication, research and development projects under the supervision of a senior technician and engineering personnel.

Salary: $25- $30/hr DOE



Responsibilities

* Test Setup - Read specifications from technical documents (Test Standards, Customer SOWs, and Test Plan/Procedures), identify/prepare equipment
* Perform Testing - Monitor tests per specifications, interact with customers as needed, troubleshoot, and document all pertinent data
* Data Processing - After test completion, verify, review and document all pertinent data, finalize data and upload data to the MJO or RegDox folder
* Post-Test Breakdown - Physically remove test articles and pack for return shipment. Notify office of the weight and dimensions for the return shipment.
* Lab Maintenance - Return test equipment and tools to their storage location to maintain a neat and clean test facility
* Assist with shipping and receiving
* Assist with calibration (Keep Calibrated Equipment Current)
* Perform other duties as assigned



Skills / Qualifications

* HS Diploma or GED, Military Training in Electronics, Technical Certification in Electronics
* 0-3 Years of Experience
* Ability to complete basic technical and mechanical procedures under close supervision
* Ability to assist with basic troubleshooting, test interpretation, and test result analysis
* Ability to understand AC/DC circuits and work with high voltage
* Be comfortable with client interaction
* Overnight travel on an as needed basis
* Comprehensive understanding of electronic test equipment (DMM, Oscilloscopes, Power Supplies)
* Possess working knowledge of basic safety practices
* Possess basic mechanical and MS Office skills
* Be a Team Player
