Annual Salary Range: $146,000.00 - $149,000.00

Position Summary

The Infectious Disease APP provides specialty care for adult patients with acute and chronic infections across inpatient and outpatient settings and a team-based care model with physicians. This role includes hospital-based consultation, outpatient management of long-term antimicrobial therapy and follow-up of complex infectious disease conditions. The APP supports timely access to specialty care, continuity of treatment, and evidence-based infection management.Responsibilities
*Perform consultations and follow-up to manage patients with infectious diseases in both inpatient and outpatient settings.
*Participate in hospital consultations for sepsis, endocarditis, osteomyelitis, and other complex infections.
*Manage outpatient cases requiring long-term antimicrobial therapy and monitor for treatment response and complications.
*Ordered and interpreted labs, imaging, and microbiology studies to guide diagnosis and care plans.
*Educate patients and families on infection prevention, antimicrobial regimens, and follow-up care.
*Collaborate with physicians, hospitalists, pharmacists, and care management teams.
*Document clearly and promptly in the electronic health record including consult notes and outpatient follow-ups.
*Support antimicrobial stewardship and infection prevention efforts.
*Demonstrate professionalism, teamwork, and commitment to high-quality infection related care.
Requirements
*Graduate of an accredited Advanced Nursing or Physician Assistant program
*National board certification as a Nurse Practitioner in Adult-Gerontology Acute Care, Adult or Family Medicine or national certification as a PA-C
*Unrestricted nursing license or physician assistant medical license (or ability to obtain) in Washington State.
*DEA, NPI & prescriptive authority
*Current BLS for Healthcare Providers certification by the American Heart Association

Pay and Benefit Expectations

We provide a comprehensive benefits package, including competitive salary, medical, dental and retirement benefits and paid time off. As required by various pay transparency laws, we share a competitive range of compensation for candidates hired into each position. The pay scale is $146,000.00 - $149,000.00 USD. However, pay is influenced by factors specific to applicants, including but not limited to: skill set, level of experience, and certification(s) and/or education. If this position is associated with a union contract, pay will be reflective of the appropriate step on the pay scale to which the applicant's years of experience align.
