Business Quality Specialist, Energy System Design

As a member of the Energy System Design Quality Engineering team, you will monitor key performance indicators and escalation channels, identify opportunities for improvement, and develop corrective action plans. One project might require you to evaluate a process for opportunities to increase system size while another might require you to investigate customer-requested equipment location changes. Ultimately, all these efforts will drive reduced costs, high quality products, and delight our customers on their journey toward energy independence.

As a Quality Technician, you will be tasked with auditing, root cause analysis, and presenting insights into the issues affecting the Design org. This is a multifaceted responsibility, requiring efforts associated with Design deliverables for layout, final design, and plan set. Success on this program will have far-reaching impact across the business, driving potential improvements to several key operational goals.

• Define, track, and report on success criteria
• Perform audits to identify, document, and present failure trends to leadership teams
• Stay up to date with new products, best practices, and standard guidelines by attending team meetings and mandatory training sessions
• Continually define Quality Assurance guidelines
• Act as a resource to production teams and coach best practices whenever inefficiencies are discovered
• Derive insights and advise on potential countermeasures
• Create a culture focused on accountability

• Degree in Engineering discipline, or related field, or equivalent experience in a PV, ESS, or residential construction industry
• Technical understanding of energy system design requirements, approval processes, and install practices
• Familiarity with structured problem-solving methods such as FMEA, 8D, Six Sigma, and ISO 9001/IATF 16949standards
• Proficiency with MS Office desktop applications (Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
• Familiarity with Atlassian tools (Jira, Confluence), SQL, and related analytical skills a plus
• Manage time effectively, strong organizational skills, and with meticulous attention to detail
• Passionate, innovative, and with excellent written and verbal communication
