Finance Manager - Strategic Projects Dallas, TX - Hybrid (4 days onsite) Compensation: $115k-$130k base + 10% bonus One of Vaco's PE-backed Distribution clients with over $1B in revenue is seeking a Finance Manager - Strategic Projects to support enterprise-level initiatives during a period of continued acquisition-driven growth. This is a newly created, high-visibility role reporting directly to senior finance leadership, offering meaningful exposure to the C-suite and private equity partners. The environment is fast-paced and evolving-ideal for someone with strong analytical skills who enjoys building models, driving insights, and contributing to strategic decision-making with a clear long-term growth trajectory. Key Responsibilities * Partner with senior finance leadership on large-scale strategic initiatives and special projects * Build and maintain complex financial models to support business decisions and investment analysis * Analyze and manipulate large data sets to identify trends, risks, and opportunities * Support acquisition-related analysis and integration initiatives * Prepare and present financial insights to executive leadership and private equity stakeholders * Respond to ad hoc financial requests from the C-suite and investors * Assist in the preparation of executive-level presentations and reporting materials * Collaborate cross-functionally with accounting, operations, and leadership teams Qualifications and Skills * 4-6 years of progressive experience in finance * Background in investment banking, consulting, public accounting (with transition to finance), or corporate finance strongly preferred * Bachelor's degree in Finance or related field required; MBA preferred * Advanced Excel skills required, including building and manipulating financial models (macros and advanced formulas preferred) * Experience working with large ERP systems; NetSuite experience a plus * Exposure to PowerBI or Tableau preferred * Proven experience supporting strategic initiatives or special projects with tangible outcomes * Comfortable operating in a dynamic, high-growth, PE-backed environment * Strong executive presence with excellent written and verbal communication skills * Positive, proactive, adaptable team player with a desire to grow within the organization Determining compensation for this role (and others) at Vaco/Highspring depends upon a wide array of factors including but not limited to the individual's skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, office location and other geographic considerations, as well as other business and organizational needs.
