The Mechanical Shop Assistant provides general support for different activities in the mechanical shop.

We are looking for a skilled individual that is excited to be a part of changing how the world views our most critical resource - Water.

WHAT YOU WILL DO:

  • Perform work according to Ovivo standard procedures and industry standards
  • Ensure all shop tools and equipment are properly maintained with all maintenance activities logged
  • Clean, cut, and drill plastic and metal parts for production as required
  • Clean, package, and crate Ovivo systems once they are released for shipping
  • Set up temporary equipment and piping for internal Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT)
  • Support other shop activities as required, including cleaning premises, relocating material between buildings, tacking and welding plastic parts, etc.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Ability to use hand and power tools for cutting, drilling, etc.
  • Experience and expertise in maintenance and installation work
  • Ability to lift up to 40 lbs. on a regular basis
  • 2 to 3 years relevant work experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment
  • Safety training / IIPP
  • ISO training
  • General overview of Wastech products
  • Wastech manufacturing standards
  • General cleaning procedures

Annual or Hourly Compensation Range:

The range for this position is $22 / hr - $26 / hr Many factors are taken into consideration when determining compensation, such as experience, education, training, geography, etc. We comply with all minimum wage and overtime laws.
