Description

The Research Assistant will support the leading researcher in conducting a study that compares AI-assisted grading to faculty assessments of student SOAP notes. This project aims to establish best practices for integrating AI tools into healthcare education assessment.

Support duties include, but are not limited to: organizing and maintaining research data files, scheduling and coordinating faculty scoring sessions, preparing and distributing scoring materials, running AI testing trials under researcher supervision, documenting research activities with detailed logs, conducting literature searches and summarizing relevant articles, assisting with data visualization and presentation preparation, and maintaining IRB compliance documentation. Must be a current Lipscomb Unversity student. May be federal work study eligible.


Things to note:


  • This position is only active for the Spring 2026 semester.



  • This position requires strong organizational skills and attention to detail.



  • Reliable transportation is required for those living off campus.



  • Some duties may be tailored to provide you with experience that aligns with your educational or career goals (to be discussed with your supervisors).



  • Experience with spreadsheets, data management, or AI tools is helpful but not required.
