Duration: 6+ Months

Job Description :

  • Seal, fillet and fay, cap seal, brush coat, etc. for major assemblies, sub-assemblies, precision bench and integral fuel cell.
  • Apply scotch cast, leveling compound, aerodynamic seal and pressure test, working from drawings, documents, process specifications, quality control requirements and established processes and procedures.


The Company will provide appropriate assistance in job training to enable employees to perform all necessary job functions including the following:

  • Work with blueprints, changes, specifications, work orders, etc. sealing to quality requirements.
  • Complete required data gathering transactions to facilitate all sealer progression.
  • Perform any and all required pickup, rework, fabrication, change incorporation, functional testing or check during or after final seal and/or seal progression.
  • Use measuring instruments as required to accomplish work assignments
  • Report and/or investigate job handicaps such as errors, assembly procedures, tools, sequences, etc.
  • Support the continuous flow of product within the manufacturing process by training, coaching and assisting employees of all classification levels.
  • Document any discrepancies according to specification, process, and procedure.
  • Temporarily attach parts and or assemblies, install collars and other hardware not related to drilling or countersinking.
  • Integral Fuel Cell Sealing - Apply sealing compounds to seal fuel cell and related wing section components.
  • Additionally, the employee must have the skill and knowledge to perform one or more of the skills listed below, along with any lower level sealant level described below:
  • Sealer - Major Assembly / Large structure sealing / Aerodynamic seal.
  • Sealer - Major Assembly.
  • Large structure sealing.
  • Aerodynamic seal.


Required Skills:

  • Assemble, install, seal, rig, inspect, and complete precision and other structural and system components, working from drawings, documents, process specifications, quality control requirements, and established processes and procedures.

    Functional test and correct, fit form and function of assemblies and components.
  • Obtain required information from prints, charts, sketches, work instructions, documents, verbal and electronic information.
  • Use shop mathematics and precision measuring and or test instruments to complete work assignments and functional test assemblies and components.
  • Utilize tooling in the assembly of components into sub-assemblies or end items.
  • Verify work performed is per work instructions and meets process and/or engineering specification. Identify discrepancies found per applicable procedure.
  • Ensure equipment and tool certification occurs per procedure.
  • Perform routine minor machine maintenance as part of their daily work duties (e.g., where applicable, replacing machine filters, changing standard light bulbs on machines and equipment, maintaining lubrication/coolant levels, etc. as related to basic Total Preventative Maintenance duties).
  • Routinely move product within the immediate manufacturing work area, including across isle, using shop assigned equipment as required, and complete transactions necessary to move product to the next operation. On an exception basis, move the product to the next operation within building.
  • Perform work within allotted schedules.
  • Support the continuous flow of product within the manufacturing process by training and assisting employees at all classification levels
  • Assist in the training of other assembly personnel in assembly, installation and inspections techniques.
  • Cross trains in inspection and becomes SIA qualified. Level C Employee must have the skill and knowledge to perform all of the general functions of the Assembly Mechanic listed below: Assembly/Installation Structures Sub Assembly Sealer


Required Skills:

  • Must be able to work either shift.
  • Must be eligible for rehire at BOEING.
  • 737 rework - sheet metal mechanics, if they have a structures background it would be helpful as well.
  • Client will schedule/pay for flights (Mileage reimbursement is being offered if candidate wants to drive instead of fly)
  • Client is offering hotel reimbursement for training only while in Wichita
  • Pay Rate plus $110 per diem/week paid to workers
  • Training will take place in Wichita, KS or in Renton, WA (TBD)
  • *Dependent upon workload there can be overtime. Have no way to GUARANTEE overtime.*
  • Must be able to pass the Plate Test
  • Blueprint required
