Workforce Development Program Manager

Inova Health is seeking a Workforce Development Program Manager to design, implement, and lead healthcare workforce initiatives that strengthen talent pipelines, advance workforce readiness, and support the health system's long-term staffing needs.

Candidate must be located in, or willing to relocate to, the Northern Virginia area to support the hybrid nature of the role.

The Workforce Development Program Manager is responsible for designing, implementing, and overseeing programs aimed at improving the skills, knowledge, and employability of individuals within a particular workforce or industry. This role typically involves working in collaboration with employers, educational institutions, government agencies, and community organizations to create training initiatives that address the needs of the workforce and align with the demands of the labor market

Job Responsibilities:

  • Owns Inova's workforce development strategy within the Northern Virginia region
  • Supports brainstorming, developing, and piloting new program initiatives
  • Serves as program lead for assigned program initiatives
  • Oversees various stakeholders associated with program success
  • Identifies and tracks KPIs for report out
  • Manages day to day operations of workforce development programs
  • Acts as liaison between the employment community and organization to offer workforce development opportunities to eligible candidates
  • Provides proposal support for funding and grant opportunities
  • Develops training in support of the workforce development and hiring initiatives

Evaluates program effectiveness through data collection and outcome analysis

Minimum Requirements:

  • Experience - Two years of relevant experience in Human Resources, Health Administration, Academia, Organizational Development or Social Work
  • Education - Bachelor's degree in related field (or relevant experience in lieu of degree equivalent to 4 years)

Preferred Requirements:

  • Experience designing, implementing, or managing workforce development or talent pipeline programs within a healthcare system, academic medical center, public health organization, or allied healthcare setting

  • Demonstrated understanding of healthcare workforce challenges, including clinical and non-clinical staffing shortages, credentialing pathways, licensure requirements, and regulatory considerations

  • Strong project management skills, including the ability to lead multiple initiatives simultaneously from concept through evaluation

  • Familiarity with state and federal funding sources, including supporting grant applications and funded programs
