Security Officer - Access Control

As a Security Officer - Access Control in Hilo, HI, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. As an Access Control Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol designated logistics and distribution locations, helping to deter security-related incidents while supporting a secure environment. Your role includes conducting routine patrols, maintaining visibility, and providing outstanding customer service through clear communication. What You'll Do:

• Monitor and control access to the logistics and distribution facility, verifying credentials and granting entry only to authorized individuals.
• Provide customer service by assisting visitors and employees with security-related inquiries and site-specific procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
• Document and report security-related incidents, observations, and activities as required by Allied Universal and site policies.
• Collaborate with site personnel to support emergency response activities and maintain an orderly environment.
• Follow all site-specific policies and procedures related to access control and security-related operations.

Minimum Requirements:

• Access control or badge experience is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
