Pendleton Sanitary ServiceInc. is searching for our next All-StarHeavy Equipment Operatorto join us at our transfer station in Pendleton, OR.

Starting rate of pay is$26.06/HR with an increase to $26.81/HR at 6-months of employment and increase to $27.56/HR at 1-year of employment.

Schedule is: Monday - Friday, with occasional Saturday work as needed.

Shift is 7:00 AM - 3:00 PM

Safety Sensitive:Yes

Qualified candidates must haveFront End Loader,Excavator,Yard TruckandTrailerexperience.

Position requires aValid Drivers License&Acceptable Motor Vehicle Report

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • REQUIRESability to efficiently & safely operateFront End Loader,Excavator,Yard TruckandTrailer.Compactorexperiencepreferred.
  • Performs routine inspection and maintenance on vehicles such as checking oil, water, and tires.
  • Ensures proper care in the use and maintenance of equipment and supplies.
  • Promotescontinuous improvementof workplace safety andenvironmental practices.
  • Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.

WORKING CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL EFFORT:

  • Extensive physical activity. Requires strenuous physical work;heavy lifting, pushing, or pulling required of objects over 50 pounds.
  • Work environment involves some exposure to hazards or physical risks, which require following basic safety precautions.
  • Ability to operate heavy equipment is required.
  • Knowledge ofbasic computer skills.
  • Knowledge of light and heavy equipment operation and maintenance.
  • Knowledge of basicvehicle inspectionand maintenance including tire pressure, checking oil and water levels.
  • Ability to read, understand, follow, and enforcesafety procedures.

MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum 500-hoursofHeavy Equipment Operatingexperience that is directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.
  • Heavy Equipment Operating certificationfrom an accredited trade schoolpreferred.
  • Basic knowledge of computer skills.
  • Pre-employment requirements for this safety sensitive position includedrug panel screening, motor vehicle report,&criminal background check.
