Position Responsibilities

About the Role
We are seeking a bright, collaborative, and highly driven product manager to help modernize our SMB ERP offerings for architecture, engineering, and construction (AEC) firms through a product-led growth (PLG) approach.

As our market shifts toward self-service adoption and AI-enabled experiences, this role will own the end-to-end PLG journey - from how prospects discover our solutions to how they trial, purchase, onboard, adopt, and renew. This is a hands-on product role where success is measured by real user behavior, not plans or opinions.
You will partner closely with UX, Engineering, Analytics, Product Marketing, and Customer Success to design experiences that help busy, non-technical users quickly see value, often while simultaneously focusing on their "day job". This role requires strong judgment, comfort with ambiguity, and a bias toward experimentation and learning.

What You'll Own
PLG Funnel & Activation

  • Own and define the critical path from signup trial first value adoption renewal.
  • Design and optimize signup, trial, onboarding, and purchase flows that remove friction for SMB AEC users.
  • Instrument and analyze funnel performance to identify drop-offs, bottlenecks, and opportunities for improvement.
Onboarding & First-Value Experiences
  • Build onboarding experiences that adapt to firm type, project complexity, and user role.
  • Design for users who are often mobile, time-constrained, and not digital natives.
  • Optimize for the fastest path to a clear "aha moment" that demonstrates real business value.
Experimentation & Continuous Optimization
  • Establish and run a disciplined experimentation practice across the PLG funnel.
  • Formulate hypotheses, design experiments, define success criteria, and ship tests quickly.
  • Balance short-term wins with larger structural improvements to the self-service experience.
  • Maintain a visible backlog of experiments, learnings, and insights that inform product direction.
Cross-Functional Product Leadership
  • Partner closely with functional product managers, UX and Engineering to translate insights into buildable product capabilities.
  • Collaborate with Analytics to define telemetry, activation metrics, and leading indicators of success.
  • Coordinate with Product Marketing and Customer Success to ensure messaging, positioning, and product experiences align.
  • Act as the internal advocate for the self-service user in prioritization and design discussions.
This Role May Not Be a Fit If...
  • You need stable requirements and clearly defined scope to be effective.
  • You prefer strategic planning over hands-on execution and daily decision-making.
  • You see PLG primarily as a marketing or acquisition problem rather than a product problem.
  • You are uncomfortable making judgment calls with incomplete information and defending them with data.
Why This Role Is Exciting
  • You will help define a new PLG motion in a market that has historically been sales-led.
  • You'll work in an environment where you have the freedom to experiment, learn, and iterate.
  • You'll shape how AI and data are applied practically to real business workflows.
  • You'll have meaningful ownership, visibility, and impact from day one.

Qualifications

Qualifications
Required Experience

  • 4-6+ years of product management experience in SaaS, PLG, growth, or self-serve product environments.
  • Demonstrated experience owning signup, onboarding, activation, or subscription flows in production.
  • Strong analytical skills with experience using funnel data, cohorts, and experimentation to guide decisions.
  • Comfort operating independently in ambiguous, fast-moving environments with evolving priorities.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively across product, UX, engineering, and analytics.
Nice to Have
  • Experience building products for SMBs, professional services firms, or non-technical users.
  • Familiarity with AI-enabled product experiences (personalization, guided onboarding, intelligent defaults).
  • Hands-on experience with analytics platforms.
What Success Looks Like
  • You help define the end-to-end PLG approach for a greenfield product, shaping how users will discover, trial, onboard, purchase, and renew through self-service experiences.
  • You partner with UX and Engineering to deliver the initial self-service flows (signup, trial, onboarding, account setup) that form the foundation of the product experience.
  • You establish the measurement and experimentation framework needed to understand user behavior once real usage begins, ensuring the product is instrumented and ready to learn from day one.
  • You apply an experimentation mindset early-using internal testing, design partners, and qualitative feedback-to refine onboarding and activation before scale.
  • As the product moves toward beta and beyond, you evolve the PLG experience based on real user behavior, helping transition from early learning to sustainable growth.
