DESCRIPTION OF WORK

In this position, you will provide security services to safeguard property, grounds, facilities, tenants, employees, and the public at Fort Indiantown Gap (FIG). Responsibilities include enforcing rules and regulations, managing access to FIG and restricted areas, and responding to both routine and emergency incidents. You will also assist and coordinate with emergency service personnel and local, state, and federal law enforcement agencies as required. Duties are carried out independently in accordance with established procedures and policies, with work reviewed through inspections, observation, and reports.

- Full-time employment, 8 hours per day, 40 hours per week
- This position involves shift work with a rotating schedule based on seniority.
- Work shifts are 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM, 2:00 PM to 10:30 PM, and 10:00 PM to 6:30 AM, with rotating days off and a 30-minute unpaid lunch. Your schedule may change based on operational needs.
- Travel and overtime: As needed.
- Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position.
- Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
- Two years of security, law enforcement, or military experience; or
- An equivalent combination of experience and training.
Special Requirements:
- This position requires possession of an active motor vehicle license.
- You must obtain active National Crime Information Center (NCIC) certification issued by the Federal Bureau of Investigation within the probationary period and maintain certification for the duration of employment in this job.
- You must obtain active Commonwealth Law Enforcement Assistance Network (CLEAN) and Pennsylvania Justice Network (JNET) certifications issued by the Pennsylvania State Police within the probationary period and maintain certification for the duration of employment in this job.
- You must obtain a Common Access Card (CAC) as issued by the federal Department of Defense within the probationary period and maintain access for the duration of employment in this job.
Additional Requirements:
- You must possess a valid federal or state-issued photo ID and pass a favorable NCIC screening for admittance to Fort Indiantown Gap.
- You must be able to perform essential job functions.
Legal Requirements:
- You must pass a background investigation.
- This position falls under the provisions of the Child Protective Services Law.
- Under the Law, a conditional offer of employment will require submission and approval of satisfactory criminal history reports including, but not limited to, PA State Police clearance, PA Child Abuse history clearance, and FBI Fingerprint clearance.
