DESCRIPTION OF WORK

In this role, you will serve as a key support to the Traffic Studies Supervisor, focusing on the execution and evaluation of various engineering recommendations derived from comprehensive traffic studies. Your responsibilities will include analyzing data related to speed limits, the implementation of multi-way stops, and the enforcement of turn and truck restrictions. Additionally, you will be involved in the assessment of street configurations, such as the establishment of one-way and two-way streets, as well as conducting studies on passing zones and truck climbing lanes. Your work will also encompass evaluating intersection safety, stopping sight distances, and identifying hazardous walking routes. Furthermore, you will carry out mid-block crosswalk studies and other investigations aimed at enhancing operational safety within the traffic system.
Work Schedule and Additional Information:
- Full-time employment
- Work hours are 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.
- Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time, up to 5 days per pay period. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in King of Prussia. The ability to telework is subject to change at any time. Additional details may be provided during the interview.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
- One year as a Traffic Control Specialist Trainee (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); or
- Two years as a Traffic Control Technician (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); or
- One year of experience in traffic control work; and a Bachelor's Degree in mathematics, civil engineering, or a closely related field; or
- An equivalent combination of experience and training.
Other Requirements:
- This particular position requires possession of a valid driver's license.
