The FillerOperator must have knowledge and understanding of double Seamers and Seamers, Thermo detection X-Ray imaging fill level detection device, can cleaning systems, can coding machines and automated lid feeders. Operator is responsible for visual and teardown inspections of double can seams and net weight programs for product release. Performs sanitation and cleaning of all equipment as related to the filling process. Employees shall follow all the plant safety and quality rules, report incidents & unsafe conditions immediately and maintain compliance with regulations.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES: The following represent some of the essential functions of this position. Other duties may be assigned.

  1. Fill manual and automated rotary lid feeders for up to three seamer machines.
  2. Operate machinery to assure a continuous flow of finished product and cans to the fillers and ends to the seamers.
  3. Perform can teardown and visual can inspections and record measurements at prescribed intervals.
  4. Track can and lid usage by shift and product.
  5. Grease and clean all equipment at prescribed intervals.
  6. Perform can weight checks to verify proper fill weights are being maintained and record weights at prescribed intervals.
  7. Monitor can cleaning equipment (can blowers), x-ray fill detection devices and other related equipment and keep appropriate records as required by Nestle QA and regulatory agencies.
  8. Perform all sanitary aspects of clean-up in the work area including CIP of all finished product lines and fillers including CIP of Silos. Manually clean as required to maintain all equipment, including conveyors, overhead belts and magnetic elevators in a sanitary condition.
  9. Adhere to Plant Safety, GMP and Plant Rules.
  10. Maintain a safe, clean and orderly work area including storage lockers and can laboratory.
  11. Mentor new and existing Filler Operators.
  12. Must be able to perform preventive maintenance and inspection of filler valves, pumps, vacuum systems and pneumatics.
  13. Perform sensory testing.

*Must have a basic understanding of computers in order to operate equipment and to perform SAP transactions.

General Expectations: Employee must come to work promptly and regularly, work under the supervision of others, at times under stressful conditions, work within deadlines, and be able to work professionally with others at all times and in all situations.

The approximate hourly pay for this position is $24.16 to $31.41. Please note that the pay range provided is a good faith estimate for the position at the time of posting. Final compensation may vary based on factors including but not limited to knowledge, skills and abilities as well as geographic location.
